Analytical Software Became Data & AI Engineering
HMS was founded in 1989 with a clear technical focus: to develop software for analytical and data-driven business needs.
HMS has evolved alongside our customers’ needs. Analytical software has given way to data platforms, integration solutions, cloud architectures, machine learning applications, and production-ready AI systems.
What has remained is the core of our work: we combine domain expertise with software engineering. Our solutions must integrate seamlessly into existing IT, data, and process landscapes and function effectively in production.
How HMS Works
- Direct collaboration with experienced experts
- We can join at any stage of the project, from use cases to the production system
- Holistic, integrated systems instead of isolated solutions
- Consideration of governance, traceability, and regulatory requirements
- Long-term further development beyond go-live

Well-positioned for the future
Independence firmly established
Since 2026, HMS’s ownership structure has followed the principles of responsible ownership. This ensures that control of the company remains in the hands of people who are closely connected to HMS and its mission.
The new structure lays the foundation for long-term decisions and investments in expertise, services, and technologies.
For customers, partners, and employees, this means continuity: HMS remains independent and bases its decisions on the company’s long-term success.
The People Behind HMS
Our strength lies in the people at HMS. They combine technical expertise with in-depth subject knowledge and take responsibility for the systems they develop.
We deliberately assemble our teams so that they can comprehensively grasp complex requirements and develop robust solutions. What unites them is a shared understanding of quality and a commitment to delivering results that stand the test of time in operation.
That’s what we mean by People. Data. Excellence.
